Yea I'm old school....if anyone breaks in the door bell rings in my bedroom .

I need to upgrade my system but am planning to move house so mine was just a stop gap....still not sure how much I trust cloud storage for cctv but thats for another day. I do have a full cctv setup but it isn't networked....just don't trust plugging that stuff into my home network.

Made a start levelling the ground at the side of the garage this week, then dropped in the Liberty Plas drains and gulley pots before I drop in a few slabs. Fired up the mixer earlier today and once the fall was right on the drain I poured a few ‘piers’ under the drain so when I start pouring the slabs nothing is gonna move. I remember putting in the drains in front of the garage and I had to use concrete blocks to stop the drain floating away!
Picked up a few 15 degree 110m waste adaptors from screwfix earlier so I can plumb the gulley pot on the right into the one on the apron of the garage outside and I can then finish the small slab outside the garage. Been putting this off since 2019!

Been six days since I done my back, so called on my son in law just to share the burden and dropped in a soil link pipe and 11 degree bend between the both gulley pots then sealed inside and out with roof and gutter sealant (not that it needed it as the 110mm outlet was a tight fit which needed a light tough with a carbide burr in my trusty dewalt.)
Back aching again now but can go back offshore without worrying and the ground alongside becoming waterlogged in a rain storm. Time for a relaxing bath!

Osteo, I use this bloke up the road, he's a chiropractor, and he may take a couple of hours bending you around, and massaging your back and your feet.

But, damn it works.

I got a physio session on Monday which made a big diff. Told me my spine was out of alignment and lined it up again, lots of clicking from crystallised whatever and even could tell things about my body from my feet! Other areas of my back felt different once finished (better even though I didn’t know had other issues) and the lower back pain was deffo eased! Gonna continue to go every few weeks. Just £20 a session!

Just an addition here as I’d forgotten I’d posted here….
My lad works as a mechy at a garage that also is a van sales garage. They generally rip out anything in any vans they buy at auction and offer the new owner the option of racking so they get the mark up and labour in the new customer, doesn’t come in that often as they’re usually stripped by the PO especially if it’s cost them good money to source, however any old stuff usually goes to the tip. So my lad found out I was sorting the space and storage in the garage and asked me if I wanted some which was at the back of the building before it got scrapped off.

What turned up kind of amazed me. 3 or 4 sections of the Sortimo stuff (some cut or damaged and 1 section of Bott stuff which I e not sorted yet. I had to strip it down and reconfigure to suit myself but has to be £1500 new right?

…and I had a space where my door controller is so I found a Bisley 30 draw unit on my way back from Norwich for £65 on eBay which fills the space nicely. Gotta love quality storage ideas…..

Haha, it is indeed Rich, although if the guy doesn’t let me down it is supposed to be getting collected soon. Need to get my work space sorted out. Too many projects.
Heart isn’t in it. Also my Dad passed away in November and there’s a ‘61 P1800 Volvo needing attention which my lad wants to attack and he’ll need some help. I still have 4 bike projects, the interior and paint to sort on the Brazilian Bay Type 2 and the old ‘73 bay in the other garage. Time to let someone else finish the mini.
