Basically yes.. I searched for a rechargeable version and wanted one with options on the lighting too.. You can change any of the lamps colours with a coloured front glass.. I also wanted a sturdy one with an adj pivot for the lamps.. It's great, certainly helping my welding.. It's well balanced too as it's nice and lightweight ..

Thanks. So it could also be fixed with wide Velcro, allowing it to be used off-helmet, used as a 'normal' head torch and/or taken indoors for charging.......

Yes I guess you could do that too.. I needed something permanent .. But I can't see why couldn't have either the Velcro or perhaps some type of slide on clip like the kind you find on a tape measure the ones that clip on to a belt..,

Soon you will find you need to put the lights on the cheeks too. (will look like a deep-sea divers helmet).

If you weld on frames or other tight spots you'll have something blocking the lights.

Having velcro on the cheeks and a simple pen light makes it easy to put where it has free sight line.

I too use led lights on my warrior.

Found this review [turn off the rubbish music track that goes with it ] and was impressed with the output, so have ordered one - will prob go with Velcro so it can always be put to other use too

Let there be light........finally got round to fitting the torch to my lid, I used Velcro so it can be removed in seconds. Not had a chance to test it when welding but based on the 'indoors' test there's PLENTY of light available, so a worthwhile mod if you find it difficult to see the weld pool
