A friend has asked me if I'm interested in trying some stainless steel TIGing for him and I'm up for giving it a go.
But I've not used the AC on my welder before, and I've not done anything as thick before!
The welds will be a couple of inches long, fillet welds on 10mm thick 316. I will be able to have some scrap to practice on first.
I assume I'll need chambered edges and do multiple passes. Any other tips (eg amps, how many passes, fillet material, tungsten grind etc) would be very welcome.
