Spot is a pure welsh collie,not much good for shepherding but a good ratter and general entertainer.

My Border is exactly the same, rolls on his back if i move towards him, just a stupid hound...

My 18 month old Breton mongrel, used to do that, as when I got home every night it would jump up at me.

So it got a gentle clack on the head, as I don't stand jumpy dogs, she's now learnt not to jump, and hasn't exhibited that behaviour in a while.

They both get a good cuddle, and sorted.

Our 3 B/collies used to work......we had a small holding.....
now they are in retirement 12years, 11 n 9.....
still like puppies.....just have to stop throwing ball as they'll till they drop.....
try to get em in the pool.......no chance.....lol....
the other two we buried in France......

Looks like the collies are the smartest of the lot. They do it on the couch, much more comfy.
Morrisman's german shepherd identifies itself as a border collie.

We were around at a mates house this afternoon.
They have 3 Wire-haired Collies.
Their bitch lay down beside my chair and proceed to break wind repeatedly in a manner a Labrador would have been proud of.
We decided to go outside into the rain till the stench cleared.
