i was welding just fine today and my welder stopped welding and started humming then blew the breaker.
I reset the breaker in the fuse box and turned it back on, it only hums and then blows the breaker again !
Any ideas what happened?
But seriously, it sound like a short. Probably on the secondary side. one of the diodes could have shorted. I would leave it off until you can take a look inside and test. The breaker is doing its job by tripping.
