My best welding ever on thin metal

Yes I know it's carp but first time out dialed it in no cheaking with a test piece and welded a hole in a float bowl

That's s**t most of the welds I seen on here most of them are put down with knowhow mine a bit of play work but got away with it

yes there was a button for draing the fuel but the it was spring mounted and the rubber had well long gone the amount of rust i found in the cup was amasing it was so seized i had to hammer the pin out to remove the float and needle and used a screwdriver and emmery paper to remove the rust from the bowel after striping it and sonic clean suprising it started right away you only tell how old it is as the float is brass and soldered together from the outside it looks like a 90s mower i would think is prob late 70s but i dont know that mutch about mower to actualy confirm it

when i joined a couple years ago i did post on here i had dyslexia so what looks good to me may not actualy be right i tend to spell stuff as it sounds but most people can read it and they get the idea what i am trying to say some stuff i do google cheak it when i know im miles out but if i did that on every thing i type it would take me 30 mins to type a couple of sentances (i know its a pain but please bear with me) i do try to input some help and good info on here

and as for the spell cheaker i have it on my phone and quite often it posts the actual wrong word and does not even make sence so i dont bother on the laptop i just try to stick to what i know (i think) or cheak it when the need arises but i know quite a few get through

and the first time i tryed it on a fuel tank (washed out first) there was was a few pin holes that i had to try and fill as i looked at the settings on the welder set it up and produced and big hole when the lump fell in to the tank i now know little tacks and know my welder a little better and angles of the torch better

still no where near most of the people on here but im just a budding welder never had any teaching only the help from the link http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/mig.htm and pointers from members on here and looking at everybodys posts and tip

its not nice to see spelling mistakes the same as when im waking around if i see a piece off wood not level or pipe work that does not look right i want to point it out same as if a welder looks at some welding thats not right
