Well by looks this is the place for home build stoves. I have a cabin cruiser and have been fitting it out for sometime, now i have always liked a solid fule stove and at the prices i didnt fancy paying the cash for one, cheap skate me, or if i can make it i will, more fun that way.
So here i go with it.
It is made from RHS mild steel, 250mm x 200mm x 10mm wall, it stands at 23 inch in height and burns cracking. I went through a good 12 cutting disc on the whole build and a few grinding disks, i didnt think my plasma would do ther 10mm work but later i did the leg cut outs with it and i did well.
I made the door with to siut a 8mm ceramic rope with 6mmx6mm bar.
I made a grate from 12mmx12mm bar which i hope will do for now untill i cast grate, but it seems to be putting up with it for now.
Hinges old gate ones and a bit of my own
I have missed out a few fin ishing pics as i didnt take any but the rest was just fitting a bottom and top, the top i used 40mm and cut it into 4 for the rounded edges.
Oh and a bit of paint to give a better look. Even added a copper plate for the kettle, i have another to fit whaich i hitted today actualey.
And a video

Oh and i broke the glass when fitting the feet
.
All in it cost just under £70, a good saving i think. i have so made the money back on buying a mig a few year back.
