Museum Piece?

Anyone interested in these - I picked them up when clearing out my dad's workshop. They don't pack things like that anymore! They could be yours for the cost of postage. Just seems a shame to throw them out. Seemed too piffling an item to stick in the for sale section....and in any case they are not for sale, I would just like to find a home for them.

Hi, I think they might be salesmen,s paraphernalia that they use to carry their samples around in avoid breakages.

Re. charity - I normally make charitable contributions to cancer charities but I'm not that bothered (as long as it's not a cat's home, just in case that's what you meant by 'pet' charity!).

No, 'metallic', but I'm sure the picture could be photo shopped!

...just thought - I should have put a mug in the picture for scale - the little wooden cases stand about 60mm tall.

That would date them around 1905 - 1920 I guess, they wouldn't stress "metallic" unless they were in their infancy and carbon filaments were still available.
