Sean, I have the slightly smaller 200 amp Stel version of one of those, I'm told that Stel made them for Murex, Its a superb machine and in its day state of the art, mine is in use every day and never been any trouble, when new they cost around £1500. It looks as if that one is 3 phase, mine is single phase, equivalent to the 201i, if you have the power to run it I'd say its a good buy.

Thanks for that Paul, I remember from my younger day's of using murex plants (stick and mig) that they were always very reliable bits of kit, just wondered if this model at 2004 would have been within the esab manufacture era, which has a few reliability and quality issues, although given esabs rep you wouldn't expect but even they are no longer manufactured in denmark....or is it sweden any more....will be keeping my eye

2700 smackers, two years ago for the 203iS water cooled, great machine, work the nuts off mine and if this has only had light use, its a bargain.

I am now officially PI$$ED off with fleabay....
was bidding on that Transtig and was highest bidder, so everything cool and HD, was also out and about pricing work yesterday so had the sms notification on so I could keep track of it by phone....got the bidding for this item has ended msge 42mins after the end of auction...
I am so peshed off its unbelievable....
even the cats are staying out of my way....

I can understand your feelings, Wheelchairwelder. However, look at it from this point of view; There's now one less competitor for the next one that you find on eBay. Usually, when I hunt something on eBay, I find that the more items I "miss" the better the "hit" is when I do make the "hit".
