Hi everyone hoping someone may be able to help, i just bought a Murex Transtig 353IS and when i turn it on it display's CC in the left readout and 0.0 on the right hand one, it also has a continuous beep and i cannot adjust any amps etc. When i change to the TIG Settings the machine seems to be fine, all the controls work as expected its only on the Stick setting. Thanks

Right I'll try not to ramble to much and bore everyone but lots of questions .any critique and help will be gratefully received . I finally got the transtig sorted today , downloaded the manuel yesterday had glance at as you do and dived in . I had to make a bit of an adapter for the gas out a both torches I have have got rectus couplers
so it's set up with a ck wp9F standard collet body no7cup and 2.4 tungsten ( type unknown but it was already sharpened both ends )
3mm ali wire brushed I setthe machine fq 50hz bal 65% and 100 amps and these were the results...

HI i have tried it with the earth lead and the rod holder plugged in but unfortunately its just the same a CC in the left display and a constant beeping noise.
Hi thanks for taking the time to post this unfortunately i cant get the machine to do anything, it lights up and i can change modes but there is no arc, i dont know if the CC is an error code or im doing something wrong, im a welder full time so i understand the functions i just cant get the machine to do anything, i plugged the watercooler in and it worked fine so im thinking it must be something silly but i just cant think what, will check out the Stel manual, cheers againHello and welcome to the Forum.

Just to confirm,
In TIG mode the read outs read correct and you can set your amps,
In MMA mode CC is on the read out and zero in the other,
Have you struck an arc in TIG?, to frig it to weld MMA you obviously know you could set it to TIG with zero slope up and down set your amps and plug in your MMA torch and try it out.
Hi yes thats correct CC on the left display 0.0 on the right but you cannot adjust any amps, i havent tried the tig method you suggested yet, im going to give that a try today and i will get back with the results, many thanks
Ok just thought i would post an update, i removed all the panels to see if there was any loose wires and i checked the 3 fuses on the right side of the machine and all was well, on further inspection there was another 3 fuses on the left side half way down the side of the machine i checked these and found that all three were blown no continuity so i replaced them and checked that there was continuity between the ends and there was, obviously this was the problem as to why there was no output, was hoping that it may have git damp or a power surge may have blown them, unfortunately the second the welder was plugged in it immediately blew one fuse and tripped the breaker, so there is quite obviously a bigger problem than the control, i bought it on ebay so i have contacted the seller who has agreed to a refund as the machine was clearly not working before i received it, so i still dont know exactly the cause but i just thought i would report back, thanks for all the help
