Murex tradesmig 260

Hello, long time lurker, first time poster.
I was given a tradesmig 260 mig that has sat a while and I think the 12 position switch is faulty.
When I tried to use it the switch was tight and hard to turn, worked away and now it rotates to all positions but has a couple of faults.
First is it won't arc on 2 positions
Second is that on some positions and not always the same when you press the trigger it buzzes loudly like it is on 2 settings at same time.
I wouldn't like to burn a good welder out and wondered where I might be able to get replacement switch.

what ever you do dont take the connections of the rotory switch !!!!!!

Anybody know where i can get a suitable replacement power selector switch? tried online and a few shops.

the cam switch seized and got stuck on one setting. a wiggled freed it out a bit but I nearly fumed myself because the wires began melting back along. wishful thinking it would be so simple.

anything i find online is much lighter duty.

The Switch may benefit from a clean ,and lube . Quite common with rotaries that have been left for a while .If you need a hand I am in Glasgow

Esab part 0349 306 269 from c251 is common to murex tradesmig 260.
Replaced mine few years back, from memory about €70.

Thanks for the quick and helpful replies. Using the part no quoted I've ordered a new switch from local agent and will update once I have it fitted .
