Having problems with the main plug on the leads where it screws into the front of the welder ,the threads on the lead have been arcing out causing the welder to stop working . Anyone have any ideas on why this might be happening .

The part I'm talking about is where the lead screws into the front of the welder

Opposite end from the torch, the main plug that has the liner and gas port .

Yes that’s what I meant by the torch connector, replacements are easily avalable. Search euro torch connector and you will find plenty of options for £20-30.

Anyone know what can cause this before I start replacing parts

check the brass torch socket is insulated from the steel frame of the welder
make sure the torch is screwed in fully
not much else can go wrong really
