Hello all,
I purchased a Murex Tradesmig 180 a few years back now, I have never been happy with the welding performance and complained to the supplier and also Murex itself when I got no help from the supplier. They consistantly told me there can not be anything wrong with it as it's Murex despite having never seen the machine.
I've been welding now in excess of thirty years and put it down to not welding on a daily basis anymore. The machine is capable of nice welds very occasionally but it's extremely differcult to get any consistancy, of all the mig welders I have had over the years the Murex is the worse welder by far and I had some cheap welders.
I use Cougar 5 from air products (always used this mix of gas), changed the wire for new stuff, fitted new tips made sure the metal is sparkling clean, all to no avail
Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers
David
