Investigating a problem with stitch welding either not working at all or intermittently, I noticed one wire (58) had detached from the potentiometer, and while checking the others the wire speed pot wires 60,61 & 62 came off. The tags had snapped.
So I replaced the 10k linear pot of the wire speed and the T1 pot with a 470k linear.
The wire speed is adjustable but as soon as I turn the unit on the wire feeds without the trigger pulled.
The wire speed is adjustable with the wire speed control and there is no gas or current to the tip until the trigger is pressed.
The "inch" wire feed button seems ok (is not stuck in) but makes no difference if pressed since wire is already feeding. (I am going to try disconnecting it to rule it out)
T1 timer is only working on spot welding and does not work on stitch. When set to stitch welding adjusting T1 makes no difference, welding remains continuous until trigger released, whereas in Spot mode it works as expected.
Does anyone have any ideas what to look for or try.
Thanks
