Murex TradesMarc 151? Whats it worth?

I've been offered a TradesMarc151 by a friend, he doesnt really know what its worth, and i dont want to rip him off (or pay over the odds) so im wondering if anyone can come up with a guide price. Its not new, but has has very light use.

Further to that, if i decide i dont want it, he might be open to offers!

I was looking for a Murex recently albeit larger units but I found quite a 271s for around 500 or so. Would expect to get a decent 151 for 200 or so I would think.

I picked up a transmig 500 in the end but the tradesmigs are a great bit of kit too!

Not been sold by Murex since at least beginning of 2002, which is as far back as our current system goes, could pre-date this by a few more years. practically, you are not going to be able to get support or spares from Murex & think the earlier value of £250.00 way too much. Would not offer more than £50-100.00 for it & if your mate thinks that's too low then walk away. To be frank it was built very much for DIY market & whilst earlier comments correct about higher amperage models, the Tradesmarc was not one of their finest machines.
Plenty of new stuff around at say less than £200.00 plus Vat with good warranties (2years). Take your time & have a good look.

Oops. Thought it was tradesmig.

Older one would be worth quite abit less but wouldn't agree about the spare parts issue. Murex are very good for availability of parts even for older machines.

Granted they can be a little expensive at times but at least it's less hassle than trying to get bit for an old sip or something.
