Bought new when I was 17 sold origional leather case to member.
I prefer the WD case as you dont need to remove meter ti use just pull fastener and park front on back of case

Depends what you want to measure. I have a cheap chinese one which does frequency, capacitance, hfe, conduction, etc, etc. BUT although it claims to be CAT III anything over 50V I reach for my Fluke!

I've got a few Uni-T meters, Fluke and a Precison Gold from Maplins from back in the day.

My go to in the house is the Precision Gold and Uni-T in the workshop. The Flukes are my day job meters

Of the 2 Uni-T, I prefer the UT89XD as it is not an autorange model, the other Uni-T does autorange and I find it a little annoying

I have just bought that meter! it turned up this week and first voltage test had the same reading to my old digital meter to 2 decimal places. That'll do for me

The RS has a nice bright red protective casing but I am not sure that is worth the extra money

I’ve had it for a few years now, and even though I’ve got half a dozen flukes I use this all the time. I paid £37 a few years ago and that was cheap enough (my fluke 87 was about £500) - at £22 it’s a steal! It’s been absolutely smack on when compared to my flukes and connected to a calibrator for small signal stuff it’s the same.

Have a look at the Fluke 15B. Very good value. Yes it’s basic but how many of those extra functions will you ever use? I got mine for less than £60
