I have seen this welder for sale and the deal looks good but I have never heard of this type. The add says its an industrial type with capacitors to smooth the weld. Before I spend the money can anyone tell me if they are any good?
It 'looks' ok.
Nothing comes up from a forum search or a google search so absolutely no idea who makes them or much about them other than one of our forum members, Dr Pepper has or had one.
Price? Current range? (I know it's 180 top but what's the bottom?) Age?
The machine looks and sounds like it is well-made, and it is in good condition, so I'd think it is worth up to ( but not over ) £300. Perhaps the Seller can tell you whether there's anything on the data plate to say where it was made. Telwin is an Italian company.
you need to find out the lowest power settings it only looks to have 4 power settings and wire speed control so prberly not much on the low end may start at 60amp/volts if so no good for car stuff
Pretty sure that these were bought into this country a quite a few few years ago from a European manufacturer (not Telwin) and were regarded as a good piece of kit but have disappeared for some time as a new sale.
You would struggle I think for any spares beyond standard torch stuff.
With all the bargains to be had online I would think twice purely because of future spares availability.
