Seeking guidance please: I have to cut lots of inspection hatches in pine tongue and groove.
Have a good Makita corded machine, and been using cheap, unbranded wood cutting blades off ebay.
They go blunt in a a few minutes, less than two yards cut, then just get hot, burn the wood, and stop moving, and the teeth are rounded off and just get binned.
Is it possible to buy good quality ones, which don't go blunt so quick? I'm a multitool virgin. But I tend to use old English tools and sharpen them myself when I'm wood butchering.
Or is this par for the course, and I should just buy in bulk, and bin a blade every five minutes? Just feels wrong...thanks

use a courser blade in timber and if your multi tool is variable turn the speed down and let the blade do the work, I do find the blades with a slight curve on are better if you want a nice cut in thinner timber and angle the tool into the timber. You wouldn't use a 13 tpi tenon saw to cut 4" x 2" would you ! Fien are the best by far but stupidley dear and I only keep a few for best when the finish is important.
