Tell me about it !! I'm in a rural location, 9 miles from the nearest shop !
Also have to heat my house with LPG cylinders, they started the winter at £45, now they are £55 !! In the worst of winter they were only lasting 1 week !
Makes me howl when idiotic ministers witter on about using public transport and reducing the use of cars, let them try to make the journey I need to make twice a week to see my elderly mother on a bus ! It would take 2.5 hours each way and cost almost £20 ! The same journey in the car takes 40 mins but the cost is starting to really hurt, approaching £10 a time, so on the way to £80 per month !
The problem with politicians is they think the rest of the UK is like London !

Hello Robotstar,

"the Rolls Royce engines". which were actually Bristol engines. What I didn't know until I just checked is that it was developed, by Bristol, in the 1950s and powered the Vulcan bomber, TSR2 and of course, famously, in Concord.

The Olympus' were indeed created by Bristol Siddeley, who were later bought by RR. The cruising engines giving the frugal 65 yards per gallon are Rolls Royce Tyne gas turbines.

The drug interdiction is just one activity carried out by the caribbean patrol ship; as the program shows they do disaster relief, showing the flag, joint training exercises and a bunch of other stuff. Only it won't be getting done anymore as the RN don't have the ships to do it. Thanks CMD.
