Was that the same one where the combined might of all their firepower couldn't sink a fibreglass "go fast" boat? they ended up knocking holes in it with an axe then setting fire to it!

I'm not having a go but guys would you rather that then some people high on drugs and causing drugs but some of the cost is because of the libyan crisis that is effecting it at the moment

So sorry Shox Dr but made a mistake not you so i will edit post accordingly i hope there is no harm done The ship is on amission to catch Drug "runners" and The unrest in Libya is puting up fuel prices

It's actually commodity speculation that is pushing up the fuel prices. Pity as we use heating oil for heating our house which does far worse mpg than any of our fine Navy's ships.

It's probably not as bad as a Mk10 Jag though - have you posted pics of that yet Michael?

so its not just me that still thinks that the navy is brilliant as my school collegues think that sailors are gay as they don't see any fighting action I think that without the navy more people would be captured at sea and the fauklands will be under agentinas control also more people would be high on drugs as that is HMS Manchesters Deployment at the minute

I wondered what was causing the rise because the Arab oil producers increased production by 10% to cover any losses from Libya but still the forecourt prices go up - saw diesel at 141.9 today

The Libyan situation is just an excuse for the oil speculators to profiteer. Libya accounts for only 2% of the worlds oil production.
You only have to look off the east coast of the UK to see the bulk oil tankers waiting for the oil price to peak before they unload ! We are being wallet raped again !! What we need is a national strike to tell the government to stuff it !!
