weve got a 1990s bt install with a diy fitted extension to another room that id like to alter
at the moment we have - BT wire from the pole to the point of the roof at one end , the wire is then shoved under the gutter and half way around the house , rough looking wires along the hall to the master socket , then a diy extension ran in the loft to the kitchen where we have the phone plugged in
im thinking i could live without the hall way socket , undo thier wiring and run it straight down from the roof into the loft(bungalow) above where the extension one lives , then a new joiner box and socket in the kitchen as the new master
questions are - can this be done diy with "live" phone wires , if i make it nice and neat would there be any agro from BT if i ever have to have them trouble shoot a problem?
what sort of grommet/system would they use to enter a wall after a verticle cable run?
