Man power is the answer, just back In after helping a mate take his boat out the water for the winter. Ran out of daylight, reversing lights on his jeep barely lit up the the bow of the boat. Ended up pushing it into the garage, his round for the next few weeks!

It can be every weekend though and usually just me and the Mrs when we get back.
Don't get me wrong I'm not struggling ,but it is tricky sometimes, and it's only a matter of time before I plane someone's mirror off.

You could put an electric winch in the garage or on the trailer and use that. You wouldn't need that much power - 300kg will put a pretty big trailer up quite a slope.

I know the issues only to well, pull a trailer every day and at least once a week somebody parks in our lot whilst they are visiting another business in the industrial estate. Making very difficult to get backed into our building. Like you its only time till something happens.

I used to have a Landrover and things were easy, but now I have a similar van and trailer to yours, and a very difficult to reverse into drive due to traffic and being on a junction, and van too long to manoeuvre trailer on my property.

I tried a home made tow ball mover but it couldn't handle the slope or wet.

In the end I fitted a cheap 2 speed hand winch and put plenty of 6mm Dynaline cable on it, I've fixed a few strategically placed eyes, one on the garage, another in the hedge, and another on a fence post the other side of the garden.

I have to do a left 90 turn into the garden parking place and I find it's by far the easiest and convenient method so far, almost no effort needed, just change the snatch block from one eye to another and it can be done in 15 min. same to get it out, easy peesy.

The winch is fixed off set to one side facing across the trailer, a small snatch block turns the rope front or back, it winches a vehicle on really easily too.

I've fitted several of the wheel type motor movers to friends caravans (very, very simple). When working it's like having a giant remote controlled car as they are so manoverable. Even second hand they demand serious money for a working kit. Not sure how good they are with twin axles though.
Would having a hitch on the front of the van make moving the trailer easier ?
