Motor reversing switch wiring

I have a single phase 240v motor that I want to wire a forward/off/reverse switch to.
The switch has 4 poles, 3 positions ("1" "0" "2").
I've drawn the beautiful schematic attached to show how I think it should be wired. The wiring for the motor is shown on the RHS (copied off the inside cover of the motor.)
Ground wires connected, but not shown.

Look ok?

If U1 and U2are the run coil and W2 V1 are for the Cap and start coil its correct. You basically reverse the L and N on the cap and start coil. This either has the phantom phase leading or trailing the rum coils phase.

I initially tried it without the LHS contacts (that's the two switches that the live and neutral are wired to), but the motor "buzzed" when the switch was in position "0": it was still live although the motor wasn't turning. It didn't sound right, so I added the switches to isolate the lines from the switch in the OFF position.

without the initial switches the the run or start coil would be live. if it buzzed then it sound like the start coil is on U1 U2 otherwise it would have continued to run or started in a random direction. if you connect them without the start coil and set it spining in a direction then applying power will send it in the same direction. the Start winding probably isnt big enough to drive the motor by itself.
