Motor home alarm help

Just found the door and drivers lock damaged on my motor home its 25 years old so no idea why.
They didn't get in
So any recommended alarms?

Any decent perimeter alarm will do the job, if it's not your every day driver I would also make up a box section lock bar from the pedal to the wheel with a shrouded padlock.

They don't like heavy home made anti theft devices, it's something they have not come across before so don't have the knowledge of it's weak spots.

The one I liked was on a 'safari' Land Rover. It involved an on board LPG tank, piezo igniters and perimeter gas nozzles at ankle, stomach and face levels. Also capable of manual triggering from inside to 'deter' hijackers.

When we lived in Jo'burg:

1. I had the security company increase the range of the remote gate trigger so I could trigger it far enough away not to have to stop to wait for it to open.
2. ensured no car was behind me as I turned into the housing complex - if the were I went around the block to ensure they weren't following me.
3. engaged reverse as soon as I stopped on my drive and peered out of the back window until the gate closed behind me. If anyone tried to sneak through the gate they would get 2 tonnes of Benz at full throttle in their face!

I don't have any legal suggestions to make - sorry. I wasn't sure if you were trying to prevent them getting in at all - protect vehicle contents - or stop them taking the vehicle away.

Also another South African technique
