MOT failure on a teeny tiny hole

i know for MOT you need to weld a continuous seam around patch repairs but what is the size allowance for just filling a hole with weld? just wondering if anyone knows? thanks neil

There isn't one, as long as the hole is filled it will pass.

glad to hear that! the slit is about 4 cm long and 3 mm high on a very hard to reach inner sill so ive had to patch it by cutting through the outer sill and patching it from inside except it left the wound visible still so i filled it in and wondered if i just screwed myself! (

not bad for an 88 mk1 mitsubishi pajero that failed its MOT on the hole and windscreen wipers!
