MOT can i drive without (HELP)

My head is buzzing now , car is mine and has been sorn for one year I serviced it etc and now time for mot , as some has said you can tax it without Mot but am not sure you can .. Well Mot is tomorrow morning so will let you all know how I get on etc ..

Last Saturday I drove 70 miles from a sellers home to a pre arranged MOT. It has previously failed pre MOT (so not on computer record) on tyres & sills (Land Rover Discovery so chassis underneath) so I fitted new tyres before the journey (took wheels off rather than taking whole vehicle to tyre fitter). Insurance arranged a few days before so that aspect covered. MOT was booked for a set time (got there with 15 mins to spare). MOT station had vehicle reg.

No wish I did now but a quick text will sort that as its my friends mot station...I shall stop my stressing and get on with it ...

if its your friends, has he got any trade plates you can use

he couldn't legally use his mates trade plates so would be no better off as you can drive it there legally anyway

Trade plates are only to be used on vehicles that are not taxed for the purpose of deliveries,demonstrations or road tests. The trade plates themselves are taxed and that is all they cover. They don't have widespread use nowadays because garages usually transport cars about.
