A shovel. Couldn't get it to work properly, so had to hire someone with better qualifications than me.

One of the best I ever bought was a similar tool to a Leatherman, it was a Gerber version. I used that tool relentlessly around the world servicing military transport aircraft and still have it now where it lives in the glovebox of my GT6, JIC!

Without a doubt the most disappointing would be a socket that was in a set of 1/4 drive sockets I picked up in the US back in the 90's. It was 9mm marked up as 10mm! I couldn't even get that to fit with a hammer!
A leatherman multitool years ago ,it was so poor and pointless I threw it away In disgust and it's crap leather holder.. Im sure they were trying to reinvent the Swiss army knife ,which is almost like trying to reinvent the wheel
How about an Easy-Out, never had one work easily on a rusty sheared off bolt.
You are using them wrong, realistically they are not intended for that situation, they are for when the head of a fastener is damaged or the head has sheared in the more traditional sense.
Think about it, if the fastener is so corroded Into place that the corrosion has more strength than the fastener what chance is a peice of brittle hardened steel going to have?
Easy outs are a classic example of getting a bad rap because people use them for the wrong application, I have successfully easy outed hundreds, if not thousands of fasteners, I wouldn't be without them.
a lot of tools inc machinery is Chinese made.
no wonder some of them are rubbish.
sealy use to be a good brand .closed their factory and got their stuff made in Chines like most of british tool makers.
Quite an unfair statement, being made in China does not automatically mean something is poor quality.
lowest bidder is what causes all the junk.
I rest my case.lol
