Morse taper arbor removal tool

I am after the wedge type tool that you need to remove a mt3 taper arbor from my drill press so that i can fit my new keyless 1-16mm drill chuck to my Sealy heavy duty drill floor standing drill press I have just acquired from a local auction. Any body know of a firm that stocks these please.

Thats it but mine is a mt3 taper. This one seems to be for mt 1 & 2!

Put a bit of flat bar behind the drift and they will work a treat. Do that a lot at work when I carn't find the big drifts!

Cromwell do MT3 as well, you wont like the price though, just put "drift" in their search box.

a good one is hardened. if u make a mild steel one and the taper sleeve is well stuck in they just crease up and get stuck

Many thanks boys I searched the cromwell site as you were replying to the thread and have spotted the mt3 one I need. For the price it is not worth mucking about as the slot is narrow, the access is awkward as you have to lower the spindle to get access to the slot and like you boys I have only two hands so for £6 I will whip over to the branch here in Stoke in Fenton hopefully tomorrow.

I just softened an old flat file and cut to shape with angle grinder.

Mine is a bit of land rover leaf spring.
I didn't temper it after hardening it and it snapped when
I dropped it on the floor, it's still usable but is a bit short.
