id not reomve the screws on the plastic on the bowl just the nuts as ive pic or that one more joint that could leak remove less is best
I succeeded in the end, and now I’m an expert on it, ready for next time.
But now we’ve moved house.
I have never seen that type of elbow connection between the pan and the cistern before but I think there could be an oval plate between the bottom of the cistern and the syphon nut with those bolts you can see fixed through it, unless the bolts go right up through the bottom of the cistern and are sealed which I doubt.

i just took mine out and made a new diaphragm cut out of a piece of polythene its been in 4 years now and never cost a penny
You, yourself, told me mine didn't have the nut, so I couldn't do the first vid, and the 2nd is taking the cistern off the wall, which I'm trying to avoid.
would have thought vids and links we both provided shoulfd be enought for him to have a good idea of what needs doing
