Had some more machines turn up today.
A devlieg jig mill, its the baby one but got to be 7tons
A monarch 18.5x54 toolroom lathe, bed is a bit worn and 4jaw that came with it is wrong

Ive now got 76 tons of machinery just at home. If scrap hits £200 per ton Im cashing in

Looking at it today I can see a switch for a keller attachment which is a copy attachment.
Explains bed wear, but good cross slide.
Never listen to machinists or machine hoarders, always inspect in person

I think Essex will tilt to the right, Kim is emptying Enfield ok not actually Essex but very near, and Spencer is filling up Colchester, I will have to go to Cambridge to bring some cast iron back to Epping (swage block)

Im a working machine shop and tool rebuilder . There is a few hoarders on this forum
Used to use a big devlieg for boring 300hp surface grinder heads.
I do save machines when I can hence buying the monarch

Could be possible to re harden, but who on earth has got the gear nowadays.

Was most stuff not done under water with induction coil shaped to the ways? Must of used a few thousand kw!
