Having a rare tidy up in my workshop, these have been on the bench for a while since they arrived with a mixed bunch of tooling. Any ideas as to what they are/what they're for?

The radiused 'hook' on the top item is about 2mm thick.

The overall length of the chain when it's stretched out is about 14" OR 35Omm in new money. the 'jaw' opening on the Aluminium end pieces has an opening of about 3/8" or 10mm.

So, the opportunity for a hire business arises, in view of the suggested use, I think I'll get someone else to do the cleaning of the items on return though

I'm sure it clamps on too 2 tubes and the ''hook'' goes through the chain links too pull it together, there again ive watched so many video's on utube it could be complete b0ll0cks ...

Unlikely. Normally they have a tighter radius and a step machined in both sides that it rides on the edge of the cam bucket , that it doesn’t get in the way of taking the shim out .
