THey certainly do cock up!
I am one of the people who they saw fit to remove the Cat A motorbike entitlement last tiem i moved house. When I phoned them, they said if i had hte test pass certificate or went to the original test centre for a copy I could get it back. Well it was 18 years ago, I sent THEM the test pass certificate and the test centre is now someones house, so if I want to rid e abike again I have to take the test, again.
When I moved to this house I sent of all the V5s, the one for my Range Rover never came back. I did get a letter saying thanks for tellign them I'd scrapped it. I wrote to them telling them of their mistake, they sent a new V5, to THE PREVIOUS OWNER! FFS! Thankfully he's a mate of mine so he passed it on.
They've never sent my brother a tax reminder for his bike for the last 13 years, he still has it, it's still registered, but not MOT'd or taxed.
Total muppets.
