So, all in all, a pretty reliable piece of kit?My tailstock broke. That's why I stopped using the lathe and swapped it for a RC glider 5m wingspan!
I was very gentle with it but on the early ones the casting was incredibly thin. To move the tailstock you had to tighten a screw to spread the casting apart a fraction. Cast iron is not designed for that - I expect they changed it.
Oh and my first one lasted a week before the motor went pop and had to be swapped out.
I do miss it though.
