Moore & Wright digital verniers BARGAIN !

Just bought these off you know where. I paid £24.95 for mine from another seller but he has now sold out. Bargain price for quality verniers.
They are considerably better quality than the ones recently at Aldi, but I got one of those too for reserve use.

made in china just badged up and over priced all my moor and wright gear was made in england

verry posible .the cheaper ones are quite finiky to set whereas the quality expensive ones arent but there still acurate and useable

I would say they are much, much better than the Aldi ones and not quite as good as Mitutoyo.

I have some MIUK M&W too, and a much liked Rabone Chesterman dial gauge vernier which has unfortunately suffered at the hands of others
The original stuff can't be equalled but sadly no longer made.

my moore & wright digital calipers are nicer to use but the aldi ones are gr8 value & I.ve tested them with slip guages & they're accurate, btw all the above are either digital calipers or dial calipers & not vernier digital or vernier dial, I have an old m&w set of verniers & allthough a little slower to read they're spot on & it amuses the students at work who can't understand them.

Bought the Aldi ones about 8 year ago £5, specifically to repair a chinese scale liquid got to and destroyed.
Didnt last long before it seized up. Another fell apart.

Looks like the chinese vernier in link is an ABS, they listened. Previous retailed same price and worse than Aldi.

When someone makes a bouncy vernier, let me know.
5 Mitutoyos inc an IP67, and every name above sveral off in English, thats quality.

They are digital vernier calipers. I have a Lidl digital vernier caliper and a Mitutoyo dial vernier and the one you show there is a sliding vernier caliper.

I have a vernier micrometer so I understand! When you tested your caliper with slips, did you check the internal and depth measurements? I have a couple of cheap pairs and one is about 0.005" out on internal measurements.

The destructions with this Moore & Wright don't refer to it as a vernier either, just a caliper.
I've always called them verniers but really they aren't, they don't have a vernier scale.
In effect they are measurement calipers with a digital readout. Vernier is easier though !
