Monobloc mixer tap dismantling

I have a deep drive 11mm somewhere bought for just this. . Couldn’t find it without going into far greater search than I wanted to yesterday. Luckily once the drawer was out of the base unit, I could get on the mounting nut with a std ring spanner. Other option would have been to cut the screw which goes into the tap base much shorter and use std socket.

got a set of those box spanners top job for sink taps

i changed the daughters one a 70 quid tap new from ebay for 28 quid easy to change using long box spanner from toolstation . a tenner for 3 diffrent sizes

6 different sizes they are double enders

Snap or cut the pipes off the old tap first, makes removing much easier.

Of course does mean you have to remove it though
