Moggy Minor van / pick up.......................

My father had one and in true farmer style we were delivering milk off the back of it in Norton Stockton in the late 60's. Of course in order to expedite the job I simply sat on the lowered tailgate and jumped off, milk in hand when we stopped and got on with it. I remember it was quite a strong thing, we reversed out of a side road one day and my father, in his haste, mounted the curb and kept going, up Leven road I think it is called and I jumped up onto the back just in time as he knocked a bus stop over and then reversed over it. He just carried on and it was never mentioned again.

Moggy minor club day at the Beaulieu spring jumble today, saw this van, and 100's of others moggies, notice what is different? And that spare wheel mount!

The blue van has the front cab from a traveller, with longer 2 door doors and longer roof, so the body sits further back giving more cabin space, but he did not alter the wheelbase, he moved the arches forward! compare the yellow van with the blue one....................

Thought so! Once upon a time our moggy vans drivers door got damaged in a prang, No problem we had a spare door in the shed.....
I unbolted the old one & bolted the new one on then went to shut it. Oh fiddlesticks its too long, by about 4 1/2".
Fortunately we had another spare van door.

My mates dad a seemingly clever guy went to the scrap yard and found a front door from a 4 door will almost fit a 2 door, it was a perfect colour match but a bit windy.
