Ive been given a 70 plate VW Caddy through work.
I decided I wanted to install a small 2m/70cm radio but as the van is currently only mine until May it needs to be a very temporary install.
I got a purpose made windscreen mount and a cig lighter plug, after testing and programming the radio indoors I fitted the plug and installed it in the van, plugged it in and nothing, even with the engine running.
First thought was user error, so I plugged it into the L200 and it worked perfectly, so I thought it was the van, however my usb adapter with volt meter works fine
Final option, does it sense the high(ish) current load and shut down? Its only a 20w radio so when not transmitting it will barely draw anything but it won't even switch on
