Model Engineering Exhibition at Doncaster Racecourse

I live there and never go too much like chaos for me
next door to racecourse is the deaf school they have a car show last time it brought doncaster to a stop
traffic chaos
never seen it so bad took me and a mate 3 hours to go 2 miles (dual carriageway no way off) in the end we turned round and went home

I liked it better when it was at Harrogate. Dad & I decided not to bother again after last year. Quite sad about it since we'd made the trek down every year since it started

Is the traffic situation that bad? I was thinking of taking the family but as an exhibitor with the crane ( if it would meet the grade). I'm a tight Yorkshire man and assumed you would get in for free?

I'll go again if I remember, hope I have a better trip back than last year, as I broke down 3 times in a mile and less than 2 miles from home.....going up a hill my exhaust mounting went, as I could hear it banging on the road, so I thought I'd not take a duel carriageway and flyover,and go a slightly quieter way, so at the traffic lights my clutch release bearing went, so I had to roll my car down a road from the junction. then waiting for the RAC to tow me home, my hazard lights stopped working. and I broke down outside where I work, and I normally walk there instead of driving. the annoying thing was that the clutch release bearing had done less than 15,000 miles.

I do not think your car was breaking down, it was trying to put itself out of its own misery.

traffic was chaos for the car event doubt the model show event will be as bad

Me too, Harrogate was a bit of a trek but doable, Donny is just a bit too far now

There is a newish exhibition at Manchester but when I think when I looked at the map it was on the 'wrong' side of Manchester and time wise just as far as Doncaster
