Mobile welder Stockport?

Hi,

I've got some welding need doing attaching a new rear cross member to my defender 90, me and my mate (who has some welding experience) started the job, but the welder has packed up and at the same time think we were a little too ambitious, especially since MOT will require spot on welding.

If anyone has any recommendations for mobile welders around the stockport area, that'd be great. I've contacted a few but they have either ceased trading or won't do cars!

I'm doing the same job at the moment on my 90, it's taking me a while. Definitiely need to do a good job. I'm going to use a mixture of MIG and MMA. MIG for the thinner metal on the existing chassis rails, especially the vertical ups, and MMA for the nice 3/4mm extension plates joining up to my 6mm folded steel cross member.. Still doing all the fit-up and things at the moment though. I want it to be dead on before I go anywhere near it with the the welders!

I can't actualy help you though, sorry. I'm much too far South!
