On my way back fron France yesterday I received a phone call and (unwisely) decided to answer it. Trying to open my Samsung GT-E1270 flip phone with one hand, I managed to entirely separate the two halves of said phone. This severed the three flexible circuit 'cables' that connect the two halves and means I have a totally unresponsive and non working phone. Or two phones, if you prefer.
All my contacts and texts are in the phone memory, not the SIM. I've swapped the SIM into another phone and there are no contacts or messages on it. Has anyone done anything like this before and been able to recover the data? It's certainly made me re-think the wisdom of having a flip-phone. I've always preferred them up to now, but this is making me wonder.
