MMA attachment for Tig

Looking for advice, please tell me if i'm barking up the wrong tree!

I've begun to feel really limited with my Clarke 160t in terms of power but can't afford to upgrade to a more powerful machine at the moment. I do however have a Murex Tradestig AC/DC 160lis and i'm thinking if i get an MMA attachment i'll be able to weld some beefier metal

In particular i want to make a sheet metal folder like this one...

I've always associated stick welding with thicker metal?!?

all you need is a lead with the same size plug that is in your welder and an electrode holder

I WOULD IMAGINE YOU MUREX WOULD DO THE JOB BETTER THAN THE CLARKE MATE, GIVEN THAT THE MUREX IS A PRO MACHINE AND CLARKE IS JUST HOBBY.

would have thought either machine could be used to make that bender machine as materials look only 6-8mm thick
or are you thinking of welding other thicker materials? unless you are welding lots of big fillet welds 160A mma welders should be good for say 10mm fw with multiple passes (approx 3) of 3.2rod for the occasional jobs

I've only got 0.6mm wire in the mig but it only manages 3mm at a push, it would never penetrate 6mm you'd need a massive root/v-prep and multiple passes. The tig is great but the torch gets bloody hot at anything over 100 amps so i think i'll find an arc attachment (dinze socket is what i need possibly) and melt some rods...

sorry, i ment either machine would be ok to use with mma-i know nothing about mig/tig
2.5mm rods for up to 5mm material with 5mm fw, and 3.2 for 5-10mm material
as a guidance, 6013 rods are good general purpose rods (bohler or murex are good makes) and amps as indicated on the box (electrode connected to the negative)
yep dinze socket and some 35mm2 cable and rod holder-you probably already have the return clamp
