Hi. Any of you guys have a mk2 alba 1A shaper. I have started a thread on the restoration of mine but I need to see a picture of another regarding a part I think mine didn't come with of is missing.

Brilliant. OK some abla shapers have a pointer and a plaque that shows the distance stroke of the shaper head. Mine appears not to have had one.

Mine has the scale but no pointer and the scale is on the opposite side to the one in your pic. No idea if it’s. MK11 thoug.

Perhaps save the pictures while the auction is live as they might be useful in the future.

Scale on the LHS as you stand in front of it makes more sense as I think you would open the LHS cabinet door to adjust the stroke. It does not look like there is any way of manually cranking it over on the RHS to verify the stroke length.

The picture from the lathes website is from the manufacturer's publicity material/brochure so might not have been an actual production version.

Morning. Just another question. My alba appears to have the provisions for the front way wipers for the shaper head. Any of you guys have them on yours

There are no wipers on my machine and there are no drilled holes to accept any either. May be a mod' that someone has done in the past.
