Mitre saw?

So the boy has had his own place for a while but he now needs a mitre saw, mainly for second fix type stuff so it doesn't need to be huge or complex, any one got any suggestions?

Very happy with my Bosch GCM350. You can also get them in axial glide form which can be used against a wall. Belt drive, as all my other ones failed in the bevel gears. Good range of angles. Crap laser, but I always offer the teeth down to the line anyway.

i prefer the sliding mitre saw more than the chop mitre saw

as goes for wheeling it onto building sites i hate the stands for them as they arnt wide enough and ive had a few try to flip over easily

First main question is, available funds for purchase?

No good recommending a Lorch if only AliExpress/Temu/Lidl funds available.....

I have two dewalt ones, a big 300mm 780 that’s a beast and a little sliding cordless one. The cordless one gets used for 99% of the jobs as it’s so convenient.

Nice saw but out of my price range, though I might get something around the £200 mark which may be optomistic?

What about Metabo sliding saws, good value and do the job. They have laser lines but never found any of them to be accurate enough, I prefer to bring my cut line to the teeth knowing where it will cut.

I have a scarifier and my brother has their petrol jet wash. No thrills, feel cheap but have done the job with no issues
