i dont want the blade to get messed up so a nice shaped bit of timber could be the ideal clamping jig might even make it 5" long too so they are all excatly the same!

ali should be fine...its nice and soft...im still a bit miffed that i got less thn 20 cuts in steel half as thick as the rating on the blade...im trying to find the reciept to take it back

Are you clamping both sides of the blade?
I only clamp to one side of blade normally the left side, the other end of the cut is free..

i probably will clamp both sides because it is in a long length 2M

yes, after the first cut i decided to clamp both sides as i had just over a meter hanging over the side after the cut and just under 5M before the cut

I usually clamp left side too more space because the motor is on the right

Can you get the Erbauer blades for it? About £15 a blade iirc. Might be less of a hit to your wallet if you are cutting something thats eating them.

It makes you wonder if all evolution blades are not born the same, i have a rage at home used for the odd bit of box, pipe or angle and rough wood. has not cut much all teeth are good but i wouldn't say it is still sharp. but i know a fabricator who has the 230mm industrial circular saw that spends all day sometimes plunging into 12mm plate and the blades last ages.
