I had a cylinder that was nigh on 6 foot tall that was pub co2.
Some old CO2 firefighting systems in electrical substations and power houses also used them but were abandoned due to the possibility of them being activated while men were working in a power house and them dying from asphyxiation.
They are still in use.
If there is a chance of accidental operation due to works carried out they will be isolated/tagged out.
^^ if it's a gravure printing process then they will be needed!!
I installed some litho printing machinery at a plant in Cape Town a few years ago that had a gravure press installed - the solvent smell as you walked through was overpowering!! They use toluene as one of their main liquids in the process!!
