If you clamp the spacers together instead of taking the load through the ball, the joint will fret and move against the spacer surfaces.
I'd be checking your angles at full droop and full lock.
Well if 16 goes and it's M12 bolt atm:
I think it is not the angles but the weight of the truck on them
