Here's a thought, about maybe 12/15 yrs ago there was a ceiling on the national insurance stamp £42 ish per week then the gov decided to make it a kind of % of earnings. Back then I was contracting working 7 days a week, I retired 4yrs ago stamp=£90 odd a week. Some of the lads are now paying up to a ton a week. the stamp goes up up up (its only another tax), anyway I enquired about the price of a stamp then and was stunned to find it was £6, can you imagine the health care you could receive for the remainder. So I was paying twice as much for less I know its austerity measures and we're all in it together bumff, where's the rest goin,(Not a rant by the way but getting perilously close).putting the wine(whine) away now.

Apparently not, they forgot to tell me they would open the national INSURANCE sceme to anyone who can abandon their own country and get here to claim on my policy without paying in anything.
I seriously wish i hadnt paid a penny now.
I'm on the hunt for a new dentist, as the previous one is now a 300 mile odd round trip. The thing that gets me is the difference in quality, and you can't really find out if they are any good before they have possibly made a mess of your gnashers.
