I've never got on very well with one of my mini spray guns. It has a 1.0mm tip, but seems like only a very fine mist of paint is coming out. It's good for metallic basecoat, but some 2k clear I did recently came out with mega orange peel despite a fearful amount of passes/speed.
I went to use it again last night with some good quality cellulose and again, just mist came out. I ended up going back to the mini gun I used for primer which has a 1.2mm tip and the result was lovely.
Do I need to thin more than I would for a full size gun? I thought the idea was thinning was as per normal and the tip technology was equivalent to a bigger full size tip.
