Trawling through here last night I found a thread from way back from a user who seems no longer here.
His spit was made following this site http://www.harwoodperformance.bizland.com/1941buick/Editorial_20.htm and looks good if maybe a little overkill .
I have some heavy wall 60x40 for the bases here and for the hanging frames was thinking of using 50x50x4 for the sliding pieces with 40x40 doing the support only due to current steel issues prices.
Anyone think 40x40x3 will be substantial enough?

Hi there just a few pics of ongoing mini project on Rotisserie/Spit I made last year. The Spit is adjustable for height and centre of mass to make spinning car easy and safe. I am not good at getting under cars anymore so this make it a lot easier. I dont get to the computer that often but...
