Mini rotary tool grinding stones

Bought a rotary tool (dremel like) some time ago & it came with rotary grind stones (cones, tapered, round).
I have used these & found them very useful for numerous tasks but the stones don’t seem to last, they tend to fall apart before they wear out.
Anybody recommend a source of quality grinding stones, the tool itself seems up to the tasks I’ve set it.

Never liked the stones. Get fine toothed 3mm carbide burrs for metal, they last forever also being quicker. Even better 6mm shank burrs in a die grinder. For soft materials plastic and rubber, a tyre golf ball, but I have only seen with 6mm shank.

Could use a new burrs if anyone can recommend, my 3mm is snapped but still useable and the 6mm both over 10 years old. They get a lot of use -every time I drill a wonky hole and it needs be adjusted.

Buy the best you can afford.

Pferd are great. Otherwise Norton, SAIT, Kingspor etc.

I thought they were mini grenades, as they explode on me after 5secs. Always used burrs when Pushed to use one. Never found them to be good at anything.

Once walked past a guy cleaning his drive gates with a wire wheel god knows how long it took him, if they ever got finished. I didn't bother him, he looked busy

I'd love a set of carbide burrs but can't justify the cost,......I usually buy the sets that Lidl or Aldi sell from time to time, mainly for the cutting disks to be honest, sure the stones are not that great but I can get by with them, less pressure and taking a bit more time seems to make them last a bit longer.

My main tool for grinding with my Aldi version is the rubber expanding drum with the abrasive sleeve. I buy replacements whenever I see them on sale.

A set of decent carbide burrs for Steel from Pferd will set you back about £100. Most of the 6mm shank burrs are £20-30 a piece.
I’ve some micro cut burrs that are great too.

Mounted points are much better for deburring or chamfering.

That’s exactly my experience of the grinding stones (points) that’s why I’m looking for something better.
